It’s YOUR Time to
Rewrite Your Mental Soundtrack
Therapy for the eldest daughters, cycle-breakers, people-pleasers, and high-functioning women who carry family trauma quietly while showing up for everyone else
I’m so glad you’re here!
For the women who learned early how to be strong, responsible, and “the one everyone could count on,” this is a space to finally set that weight down. Built for eldest daughters, cycle-breakers, people-pleasers, and high-functioning women carrying family trauma, this practice supports those who grew up managing emotions that weren’t theirs, shrinking their needs to keep the peace, or feeling like rest had to be earned.
Life can start to feel overwhelming- like you’re holding it all together while running on empty inside. Complex trauma, friendship/ relationship stress, ADHD, depression, anxiety, or a life transition that doesn’t make sense anymore can turn the volume up on self-doubt and disconnection. Whatever brought you here, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
At Mental Mix Therapy, healing is a remix- blending insight, compassion, and practical tools through trauma-informed psychotherapy. Therapy here is about unlearning survival mode, reconnecting with yourself, and building a life that feels grounded, soft, and genuinely yours.

Meet Your Therapist
Hayley Minger-Marlow, LMSW, IMH, CCTP-II
Who I Am: Hey there! I’m Hayley- your relaxed psychotherapist, avid concert-goer, proud dog mom, and owner of Mental Mix Therapy. I help people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves find their footing again. Maybe you’ve been through something painful, or life just hasn’t gone the way you expected. You might be holding it all together on the outside but feeling exhausted, anxious, or lost on the inside. Together, we can create a space that feels safe, real, and empowering where you can be your authentic self, and healing and growth can take place.
My Therapeutic Mix: I’m a certified clinical trauma specialist (CCTP-II) trained in EMDR who is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW) with a dual title in Infant Mental Health (IMH). I use an integrative mix of approaches- psychodynamic, person-centered, CBT, supportive, and solution-focused- to meet you where you are. Together, we’ll make sense of your story, work through old patterns, and help you feel more grounded and confident in who you are and where you’re going. Therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all, and I’m committed to find the right therapeutic mix for you.
My Session Style: Despite the heaviness of what we’ll be discussing in session, my session style is relaxed and comfortable. You’ll often see me in jeans and a t-shirt, let out the occasional swear word, and show up as my authentic self so that we can form a genuine therapeutic relationship that allows healing to take place naturally within our work together.
Our New Client Process
-

Reaching Out
Choosing the right therapist is an important step in your healing journey. Using the ‘Contact Us’ section below, please give a description of what your needs are in therapy and what you’re looking to work on. This is an opportunity for us to briefly connect, discuss what you're looking for in therapy, and explore whether we’re a good fit to work together. There’s no pressure- just a chance to ask questions, share a bit about what brings you in, and get a feel for my approach.
If we feel like we’re a good fit, we can discuss scheduling, payment, and filling out paperwork to get started as a new client.
-

Intake Session
The intake session is our first full meeting and sets the foundation for our work together. During this session, we’ll explore what brings you to therapy in depth, your current challenges, and any relevant personal, medical, or mental health history. We’ll also discuss your goals for therapy, begin to identify what support might be most helpful for you, plan your treatment, and discuss practice policies.
All sessions are private pay as I don’t accept insurance at this time. Sessions are $150 and last 55 minutes. At this time, all sessions are virtual only.
-

Regular Sessions
Regular sessions may focus on processing specific life events, while others might explore deeper patterns, develop coping strategies, or build new skills. You set the pace, and we’ll move in a way that feels comfortable and meaningful to you. Whether you're seeking clarity, healing, growth, or change, therapy is a collaborative process designed to support you in navigating life with more insight and resilience.
